48 Hour Film Project Prep
A random prompt generator and a countdown timer, built for the 48. Roll a genre, a character, an occupation, a prop, and a line of dialogue. Set the clock. Write.
How This Works
Generate a prompt. Click Generate Prompt below. Five reels spin and lock in one at a time: a genre, a character name, an occupation, a prop, and a line of dialogue. Treat the result the way you'd treat elements assigned at a real 48HFP kickoff. Work with what you get.
Start the timer. When you're ready to write, click Timer. The clock defaults to 60 minutes and counts down. Use that hour the way you'd use the first hour of the 48: outline, find your genre angle, get to a page one.
Write against the clock. When the timer hits zero, stop and look at what you have. A short script draft in an hour is the goal. Reset the timer and roll a new prompt any time you want another round.

Before The Clock Starts
Pick one before the clock starts. Don't shop for software during the 48.
